Monster Hunter 4 to release in Spring 2013

Monster Hunter 4 has just been given a tentetive release date of "Spring 2013" in Japan at the Capcom Summer Jam event.

The Capcom Summer Jam event is udnerway in Odaiba, Japan and Capcom have finally unleashed a new trailer and info of the highly anticipated Monster Hunter 4 for 3DS. According to a summery by Famitsu.com and translated by Andriasang, the trailer featured series regular Rathian aswell as Tigrex a regular of the portable MH games. A new monster was also shown described as a fox-like beast with big ears and claws and switft monkey-like movements.

Hunters were shown battleing these beasts and redisplaying new attacks first shown off in last years TGS teaser trailer, such as one hunter leaping from a cliff into an attack and another attacking by climbing up a monster's back.

At the close of the trailer the expected release target of "Spring 2013" was then displayed along with a silhouette of another new and apparently large monster.

"Spring 2013" is most likely only the Japanese target for release and we still await confirmation that Monster Hunter 4 will see a release outside of Japan. However given Nintendo's involvement as publishers for the previous game, Monster Hunter 3 on the Wii, in western regions and the success that game enjoyed it would be hard to imagine Monster Hunter 4 not gracing our shores.

Though till we have confirmation any Hunter-Gamers who dwell in the lands outside that of the Rising Sun will just have to sit tight and keep those blades sharpened.
