Capcom has announced a brand new spin-off of its massive-selling Monster Hunter franchise, with the series set to take a slice of the RPG genre.

Monster Hunter Stories will have you exploring a beautifully stylised world whilst recruiting the help of creatures you might be more used to slaying. The debut trailer shows our hero hot-footing it from a Tigrex on the back of a Rathalos.

No other details of Monster Hunter Stories have been divulged, other than it is for Nintendo 3DS and will be launching in Japan in 2016.
