Monster Hunter XX coming to Switch in Japan

Monster Hunter XX, the beefed-up version of Monster Hunter X (which is known as Monster Hunter Generations in the West) will make the jump from 3DS to Nintendo Switch. Although the series is very popular in Japan, this version of the game underachieved sales-wise in Japan and was never released in Europe.

However, it is likely we will see a European release since the 3DS version of XX never made it here. But with the Switch selling well, a quick port is a great way to take the spotlight in the Switch's line-up. We reviewed Monster Hunter Generations (MH X in Japan) when it came out last year.

Capcom made the announcement a day before the start of their Monster Hunter 2017 Championship event, taking place this weekend.

Will you swing your Switch Axe on Switch if the game gets released here? Or opt for the Japanese version? Or maybe just wait out for the inevitable Monster Hunter 5?
