N-Europe Wants YOU - Staff Writers wanted
Posted 10 Oct 2015 at 17:48 by Aaron Clegg
Want to get a foothold into gaming journalism? Have a passion for writing about Nintendo and want to enjoy the perks that go with it? Or would you just like to be part of one of the oldest Nintendo fan-sites around? N-Europe is again hungry for new staff writers to come on-board and be part of the family.
You don't need any experience; just decent writing skills and a love for Nintendo. As a staff writer, we're mainly looking for people to post news articles - the meat and veg of what you see on our front page every day - but you'll also have the opportunity to write your own features, opinion pieces, and enjoy the perks of writing reviews (more on that below).
Why join the team? There are an infinite number of fantastic reasons, but here are the three main ones:
1. It is a great first taste of writing about games, and still the best way to get a foot into the door of the gaming industry - former N-Eers are now dotted around places including Eurogamer, and Nintendo of Europe itself!
2. N-Europe is proudly one of the oldest fan-run sites that covers Nintendo and Nintendo alone, and it really has one the best communities around (said without too much bias!)
3. *cough* Free games *cough* - When you get your chance to write reviews, getting the games courtesy of Nintendo and other publishers is still probably the favourite perk of the 12-year old inside all of us!
If it sounds up your alley, all you need to do is write up a mock Nintendo-related news article (it can be based on a real story or made-up) and send it to [email protected]. Include your name, and your forum username if you have one (and if not, why not?!) Take a look at any of the articles on the site if you need style inspiration, but don't be afraid to be individualistic!
We're hoping to take on-board quite a few writers, so don't pass up on this great opportunity!
