The team behind Mario Galaxy and Super Mario 3D Land are officially working on a new 3D Mario title for Wii U, announced Iwata earlier today on Nintendo Direct. 

That isn't all though, as the plumber will once again be hopping into his kart for some more frenzied action on Wii U, to take the current crown off Sonic The Hedgehog. 

The 3D Mario title has no release date yet but is set to be a playable title at this years E3. The same applies to Mario Kart, which will also be playable in June.
