Project X Zone, which already plays host to characters from Street Fighter, Resident Evil and Space Channel 5, is set to feature even more big names before release.

The latest bunch of misfits confirmed for this star studded title come from all corners of (various) fictional worlds. The new characters in question are Nemesis T Type from Resident Evil 3, Vajra from Gods Eater Burst, Phantom from Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier, Vile from Mega Man X and Selvaria Bles from Valkyria Chronicles. 

This bunch of fairly obscure characters join an already bizarre mix such as Jill Valentine, Dante, Chun-Li and Frank West.

For the uninitiated, Project X Zone is a collaboration between Namco Bandai, SEGA and Capcom. It's a tactical RPG which features friends and foes from many different franchises, almost like Smash Bros. in RPG form but without the Nintendo folk (so not much like Smash Bros. at all... Ahem.)

The game has a roster of about 200 characters (this includes allies and enemies) and gameplay involves maneuvering characters through grid-based battlefields before unleashing hell upon your foe with standard or special moves. Most characters will operate in pairs though you are able to mix things up by going it alone whilst calling in members of your team for support attacks. 

Project X Zone is set to release in Japan on October 11th though sadly there is still no word of a European release. Keep the faith though as interest in the West is growing ever stronger with each new character reveal.
