New on Nintendo (week 49)

After four days of eShop sales, we rush into a new week with some great releases. From the land of the rising sun we get two typical Japanese assets, namely mechs and ...origami! The WiiU gets the titanic Xenoblade Chronicles X, a game which is not only massive in content but also gives you the option to wander the fields in giant mech units. Don't forget that if you want to speed up your game and want to increase performance, you can download a number of data packs. Also, Xenoblade Chronicles (3D) is on sale today, if you need some catching up to do. Be warned, you will need some time to spare!

The 3DS also gets a big title this week, with Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam Bros. The Mario & Luigi series are famous for their intuitive playstyle and great humour. In this newest saga they get a cross-over visitor from the paper kingdom. The flexible, foldable Paper Mario brings some nice new mechanics to this quirky RPG.

Pokémon shows that it is the company's biggest franchise for free-to-play, with another release coming this week in the form of Pokémon Picross on 3DS. We have had a number of Picross games on the DS and 3DS consoles, but this is the first one starring the pocket monsters. Can you withstand the combination of addictive puzzling and Pokémon or do you have your e-wallet ready?

All in all this is a great week for RPG fans, with titles that can suck up some serious hours of gaming. Enjoy your week!
