This is the week of indie games, or "Nindies" as they are called when being released on a Nintendo platform. And we get quite a number of them in the upcoming days! Both the WiiU and the 3DS are blessed with a number of low-budget, high-quality titles. Talk about getting some bang for buck.

Probably the biggest and most anticipated one in the list is FAST Racing NEO, a futuristic racer in the style of F-Zero, which dashes onto the WiiU. It will surely push your skills if you want to keep your vehicle on the road while it flies at high speeds across a number of tracks. Running in full HD at 60 frames per seconds, this is some serious eyecandy as well.

Both the WiiU and the Nintendo 3DS will get Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures. The chance is that you have already picked it up on PC, but if you haven't (or just want to play it again on the go on your WiiU pad or 3DS) this is a very challenging game which may cause some angriness in your household. It plays like Mega Man, but may be even a bit more cruel.

The Nintendo 3DS gets even more goodness with the new Steamworld Heist and the old Terraria. The last one is sometimes described as Minecraft 2D, but yours truly enjoyed this much more than the 3D counterpart. Basically you are crafting, building, fighting and digging your way into the depths of the earth. Again, this came out on PC ages ago, but if you haven't played it this is another game which can cost you quite some free time.

Steamworld Heist abandons the Metroidvania style of Steamworld Dig, but brings us a turn-based strategy game. What we do get is the same great artstyle and steampunk robots from the other games.

Luckily the holidays are coming up, because you will need it with so many time-consuming games. And at these prices, chances are you will buy more than one game this week. Happy gaming!
