New on Nintendo (week 6)

We are back with New on Nintendo, after a few weeks of absence. And we are kicking of the first edition of '16 with a couple of nice releases. On the WiiU we find a Minecraft clone in Discovery, which comes maybe a bit too late. It has a single player and a two-player co-op mode. Jones On Fire lets us rescue kitties in a side-scrolling platformer. But the biggest release on the WiiU is Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty, a redesigned version of the classic Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee. Built from scratch, the game features enhanced graphics, audio and gameplay. If you have never played the original, then you are in for a great puzzling platformer.
On the Nintendo 3DS Project X Zone 2 steals the show, with a huge cast from SEGA, Bandai Namco and Capcom franchises. Nintendo and Monolith weigh in with some characters of their own. Expect the same chaos as in the first part, but with even more cameos. Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold: The Fafnir Knight is another 3DS RPG, and is a remake of the DS title Etrian Odyssey II. As with the first remake of Etrian Odyssey I, the game is optimized for the 3DS with better graphics and enhanced gameplay.
Which odyssey will you be playing? Or do you plan on playing one of the other games? Let us know in the comments below. And as always, happy gaming!
