A mysterious new Pokémon has been revealed for X and Y and he/she/it looks strikingly familiar. Indeed, the seventh of the newly announced Pokémon is shockingly similar to everyone's favorite depressed experiment, Mewtwo. 

MewtwoV2.0 (not its actual name, thank heavens) joins the small batch of new Pokémon for the title including starters Chespin, Froakie and Fennekin, Eevee evolution Slyveon and two Legendary Pokémon Xerneas and Yveltal. 

The Pokémon Company acknowledge this too, and its similarities are intentional according to the official site. 

The mysteries of Pokémon X and Pokémon Y continue to grow with the unveiling of a Pokémon that is strangely familiar! It looks a lot like the powerful legendary Pokémon Mewtwo, but not quite the same...

This new Pokémon shares many traits with Mewtwo, including a light-purple body and piercing, powerful eyes. It is suspected that the newly discovered Pokémon has some sort of connection with the legendary Mewtwo."

So what is this? A new Pokémon? A new evolution? Mewthree?! We don't know just yet, and The Pokémon Company has yet to reveal the name of this mysterious 'Mon, so stay tuned for more as it breaks.
