New Super Mario Bros. 2 seemed to both please and anger Nintendo fans in equal measure. Sure, it was a new Mario title with some great platforming but never have we seen such a similar sequel in the Mario series... apart from, perhaps, the original Super Mario Bros. 2 on the Famicom (not the Birdo version.)

With that in mind, New Super Mario Bros. U seems to be the 'New' version of the original Super Mario World with its new worlds, great platforming and a much needed make-over.
