It was a year since it was revealed, and now Yoshi's latest adventure is ever so close to threading its way into our lives. With just a fortnight until launch, Nintendo has showed off a new trailer for Yoshi's Woolly World.

It's developed by Good-Feel, and you may recognize their trademark cutesy look from the adorable Wii platformer Kirby's Epic Yarn. Nintendo's green dinosaur enjoys a similarly stringy look, but the gameplay looks very much reminiscent of Yoshi's best classic outings.

The trailer shows off just some of the power-ups you can give Yoshi by using a variety of badges that you can collect. There's also a Mellow Mode, making progression easier for younger or more laid-back players.

There's even a neat amiibo feature, which will deck out our hero in the style of many of Nintendo's other characters if you use their figurine. And of course, the game ships with its own special line of amiibo, which are actually made of real yarn.

Yoshi's Woolly World releases on June 26th.
