Iwata makes bold claims regarding to the vast number of titles proposed....

Nintendo supremo Satoru Iwata has discussed Nintendo's soon to be launched Wii Ware service. There have been a large number of titles already announced, but Iwata claims there are many more being considered and proposed for development.

Iwata started off by saying; "We've already received proposals for over 100 titles from software development companies." He then went on to highlight what the service has to offer for developers; "We've made a platform for developing software at low cost, and would like to offer a new business chance based around a battle of ideas."

This sounds to us like a rallying call for any unsure developers to get ready to innovate and create with the service. With the low development costs and likely cheap impulse buy prices, the service looks like it could follow Microsoft's Live Arcade service as a viable and profitable business model.
