Joining the Wii's ever growing list of notable achievements is the recent confirmation that it has become the fastest selling console in Australian history. Having sold 2 million units since its launch just shy of four years ago.

The Wii has knocked off the previous fastest selling record holder - the DS. While the Wii sold 2 million units in 47 months the DS took 52 months to do the same. Regardless, it is certainly good news for Nintendo.
