News: 200,000 Micros Sold In Japan

Plus a special Pikachu edition Micro on the way - take a look at it inside...

The Gameboy Micro hit the shops on September 13th, and has now sold over 200,000 units - 148,000 of which were sold during its first week of release. These figures are superior to those of the Gameboy Advance SP, which sold 110,000 units in its first week back in February 2003.

A special Pokémon edition of the handheld is scheduled for November 17th. Black and red in colour, it features a silhouette of Pikachu above the A and B buttons. It'll sell for the same price as a regular Micro.

The Micro went been on sale in the US on September 19, but we've yet to recieve any US hardware sales figures. The system is set to launch in Europe on November 4th for �69.
