A massive total of 221 First-Party NES, SNES and N64 titles could be availiable to download for free on the Revolution's launch.
Yes, you read that correctly. In news that will surely make Nintendo retro fans ecstatic, Japanese gaming bible Famitsu has just published news that Nintendo could be offering basically every first-party title it's ever published for home consoles (pre-Gamecube). These titles will be available to download apparently for free, from day one.
This number does not include third-party titles, which Nintendo also want to make available. Although it's up to the third-parties whether they want to charge, so these titles won't necessarily come for free as well.
The magazine also updated it's survey on which next-gen console it's readers were most interested in. You may remember Cube-Europe reported Revolution was top last week, and this trend has continued with the Revolution slighly extending its lead. It recieved a 43% share of the vote while the PS3 dropped to 35% and the Xbox 360 climbed to 22%.
