News: 3DS Ambassador titles available in Europe
Posted 01 Sep 2011 at 07:08 by Paul Muchmore
Ten free NES games are now available on the eShop for early adopters of the 3DS system in Europe.
The ten classic games, which were released in the US and Japan yesterday, are identical to those available in other territories, which are the following:
- Super Mario Bros.
- Donkey Kong Jr.
- Balloon Fight
- Ice Climbers
- The Legend of Zelda
- Wrecking Crew
- NES Open Tournament Golf
- Mario & Yoshi
- Metroid
- Zelda 2 - The Adventure of Link
Gamers should not worry that these games will take up much of their 3DS' internal storage - the ten downloads plus the ambassador certificate take up a measly 311 blocks (38MB).
The downloads have an unconventional download method. They are not available on the Virtual Console part of the eShop, so to download you must take the following steps:
- Open the eShop from the Nintendo 3DS menu.
- Press Menu in the top left corner.
- Scroll down to Settings/Other.
- Select Titles You've Downloaded.
- If you are eligible, the free titles should be listed on this page.
- To download a title, select the Redownload button.
- Enjoy your Nintendo classics!
Are you happy with the titles available or are you more excited for the GBA games that will be avaialble at a later date? Are you having trouble downloading the free games? If so, let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more coverage of the ten Ambassador titles from VC Weekly.
