News: 3DS Continues to Rise in Japan

Voluptuous new software sees the 3DS go from strength to strength in the homeland...

The latest Media Create chart is out for Japan, and it shows a week dominated by PS3 software, yet also another significant rise for 3DS.

Once again, it looks like the price cut and this month's unprecedented announcement of two Monster Hunter titles are doing their job. The strong sales could also be attributed to the debut of Marvelous's bustylicious Senran Kagura: Shoujotachi no Shinei, which seemed to be a big hit among a certain demographic. As usual, lifetime sales are in parentheses.

Heading into next month, there isn't much major on the software side of things for 3DS, so we might start to see a slight sag until the holiday weeks. On the other hand, the 'Misty Pink' 3DS launches on October 20th, so we'll eagerly see if that finds a significant market.
