Latest update looks to make the home screen more manageable...

With the latest Japanese Nintendo Direct presentation having just finished, it's not easy to know which bits are immediately relevant to us. However, this is one we'll certainly be getting down the line - another 3DS firmware update, this time that actually does something noticeable.

It adds one of the most requested features for the user interface, that is adding 'folders' to use on the home screen. Those finding their home screens crowded with games and applications can now sort their software into folders and name them as you please. Up to 60 items can be put into a folder.

Iwata also confirmed patches for 3DS retail games including Mario Kart 7, but again, we'll relay the relevant information when it comes in from Nintendo of Europe to avoid being presumptuous.
