eShop improvements and 3D video are on the agenda...

Among the frenzy of new games, Satoru Iwata also announced that another 3DS firmware update was in the pipeline.

Details are a tad sketchy, but it is believed the update will include a "refined" eShop and improvements to the Mii Plaza. "3D video footage" was also announced, which could either be more updates to the Nintendo Video app, or the ability to record 3D videos yourself - something that was hinted at by Iwata last year.

It was also hinted that "new SpotPass mini games" would be in the update, but your guess is as good as ours with this one.
