Cooking Mama recently branched out into other hobbies and may soon be making a return it seems.

When the first Cooking Mama title was released on the DS several years ago it became a surprise hit for Office Create. 505 Games, who are responsible for publishing the title as well as others in Europe, has been interviewed by MCV and seem to suggest that Mama may be back soon.

When asked about the success of Babysitting Mama, released for the Wii late last year, they note that the game's size, as it comes with a baby doll, made it difficult to distribute as many copies as normal but it has sold over 22,000 units.

MCV then asked what is next for the franchise and 505 Games responded, rather coyly, with "[we] might see her again sooner than you think". At present no games are on the official release schedule but with the success of the original title on the DS and the upcoming release of the 3DS we may see Mama return to her handheld routes.
