News: 7 Zelda Games In 70 Hours

Link is pushed to his limits across seven adventures in Hyrule - all in the name of charity.

Is it possible to cram over 20 years of Miyamoto magic into a 70 hour gaming session? The rather dedicated Four48 and Mario Marathon Teams, who completed timed charity sessions of several Mario titles earlier this year, put this to the test as they did speed runs of seven major The Legend of Zelda titles within a time limit in order to raise money for the gaming charity Child's Play.

We don't know how they did it, but here are their completion times for the games involved in the challenge.

The Legend of Zelda - 2 hours 30 minutes
Zelda II: The Adventure of Link - 3 hours 30 minutes
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past - 5 hours
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - 8 hours
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask - 12 hours
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker - 13 hours 30 minutes
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess - 14 hours

And since they were well within the 70 hour limit at 58 hours and 30 minutes, they decided to finish a couple more games!

The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap (completed by the Mario Marathon Team) - 6 hours
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Master Quest (completed by the Four48 Team) - 5.5 hours

Wow. We don't know if we'd have the patience to even get through the first few adventures in that time, let alone nine of them. A big well done goes out to the Four48 and Mario Marathon teams for completing this challenge, and for raising $2,260 for Child's Play!
