Reuters reported today that Nintendo of Japan today announced it sold 80,000 GameCube consoles worldwide in the latest quarter, which isn't the best news as the Game Boy Advance sold 3.24 million machines over the same quarter.

Nintendo president Satoru Iwata will discuss the company's business strategy at a Thursday news conference that is likely to be closely watched by investors.
