The latest Need for Speed title is expected to be a Christmas number one.

For the third year running, a Need for Speed title has been tipped to top the all-format charts at Christmas, according to bookmaker Paddy Power.

In previous years, NFS: Most Wanted and NFS: Underground 2 have topped the charts at Christmas, and it looks like Carbon is set to follow in its footsteps.

With odds of 8/13, Carbon could be a runaway winner. It's closest rival is, in fact, another EA title, Fifa07. Odds for Fifa to take the number one spot are only at 4-1.

We have no idea what EA are doing to make this franchise so appealing to the masses. But, it is definitely working.
