Recent reports have suggested that Acclaim will stop producing games for the GameCube. Acclaim's CEO, Rod Cousens, said; "Why are we to develop games for platforms that do not supply appropriate yields? We still support PS2 and Xbox, but Nintendo? No, not in the foreseeable future."

According to IGN Acclaim have contacted them regarding the recent reports and have stated that the statement was taken out of context and no official decision has been made yet. The company claims they will make the decision on a "case-by-case" basis.
