News: Activision Expect Goldeneye Success

Activision have high hopes for the soon-to-be-released Goldeneye 007 and are expected it to be a top selling title this Christmas.
Rumours of a Goldeneye remake, re-imagining or port have been persistent over the years but now that it is finally happening Activision, the game's publishers, are expecting big sales.
The original title was very popular when it was released in 1997 and it is probable that a lot of people who enjoyed the first will go out and purchase this one, as well as new gamers who either didn't get a chance to play the original or were too young.
In spite of heavy competition against popular titles such as Super Mario Galaxy 2, Just Dance 2 and Wii Party at Christmas David Tyler, general manager for the firm’s Licensed Business Unit, has stated "our expectations are that GoldenEye 007 will be one of the best-selling games for the year on the Wii."
Confident remarks from Activision but with the game released in just under two weeks we'll see just how well it performs. Attendees at this weekend's Britain's Best Nintendo Gamer finale were given the chance to play the game and spoke highly of it. The event's commentator Iain Lee was also a big fan and spoke about the title to us so be sure to keep your eyes on the site to read our exclusive interview with him in the next few days.
