The game's Japanese cover design has been released.

Advance Wars: Dual Strike, fresh from a popular and successful showing at last week's E3, has just had its Japanese cover art revealed. The game, known as Famicom Wars DS in Japan (named after the original Nintendo Famicom home console), is slated to parachute into the hands of lucky Japanese DS owners in June.

While the rest of us have some months more to wait, we thought impatient Advance Wars fans would enjoy seeing the Japanese game cover art, a likely contrast to what western gamers will be seeing. It is also interesting to see that Nintendo of Japan doesn't seem to be going out of its way to bestow a clever use of the "DS" in the game's title.

At any rate, have a look and let us console each other as we impatiently glare at the calendar.
