From popular PC RTS (Real-Time-Strategy) game to portable TBS (Turn-Based-Strategy), Age of Empires has come a long way and weathered a great deal of criticism. Skeptical gamers understandably asked why the developers chose to stray so far from the established play style the series was known for, and derided its stylistic 2D graphics. A funny thing happened however: now released, positive reviews are rolling in.

With the game available in American stores, Majesco has also launched the game's official site (it is a bit odd to see the big Microsoft logo on the page bottom.) Contained within is a trove of information regarding the warring empires and the many different types of units at the player's disposal. Here also is a link to the game's trailer.
