Analysts have predicted Nintendo's market share will rise next generation, although the Playstation will stay the most popular.
Industry analysts DFC Intelligence have predicted that Nintendo's profits and market share will dramatically increase next generation with the Revolution when compared to this generation and the Gamecube.
The report suggests that next-generation Nintendo could nearly double its market share, and narrowly surpass Microsoft, although Sony would hold on to about 50% of the market. Also, it says Nintendo could sell triple the amount of Revolution consoles as it has done Gamecubes by 2010.
So is Nintendo on the way to resuming control of the market? Surely if it did, it is a long way off. Despite this, these figures potentially spell good news for the gaming giant next generation.
