Coinciding with the launch of the first New Play Control! game for the Wii, Nintendo give gamers a little treat.

With the newly released New Play Control! Pikmin, Nintendo decided to give Pikmin fans a little gift on Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City!, making it the first downloadable content available for the game. Though you better hurry, you only have a week to get it.

From February 6-12 you have the chance to pick up a snazzy Pikmin hat in the hopes that Olimar might land in your town and ask for your help. How do you get this you ask? First and most obviously, have your Wii connected to the internet with WiiConnect24 on in both the Wii and Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City! So be sure to check the Wii settings and talk to Rover via your phone in your Animal Crossing home!

Chances are that most folk will already have the settings set up already, in which case you'll just have to sit by the letter box waiting for your mail from Nintendo with the special gift attached.
