News: Animal Crossing Wii Tidbits

The upcoming Wii version of the life-sim will feature much use of the free-hand controller...

According to Nintendo's Katsuya Eguchi, the as yet untitled and unrevealed Animal Crossing sequel for the Wii will make use of the Wii-mote in interesting ways. It seems you will be able to swing the controller to cut down trees with your axe, fish with your rod, swing your shovel to dig holes and more.

He also confirmed that the title will feature the Connect24 service, allowing friends to leave you notes and gifts even when you're not around. More as we get it!
