Are Mario's painting days over?

Here at N-E we still love Mario Paint, and by the looks of all of the Youtube coverage, so do a lot of other people. Strange then that we still can't understand why Nintendo haven't released an updated version of the cult classic on the DS (a platform surely made for such a title.)

Fortunately our dreams of seeing Nintendo actually acknowledge the title in any way have taken a tinyy tip-toe towards reality today as they've trademarked the following title:

Ooooo Arty!

Sure, it could be the next Mario Paint in all but name or it could be something along the lines of Big Brain Academy but with paint-by-numbers puzzles. We're hoping for the former!
