Cricket incoming!

Codemasters have stumped everyone but Cricket fans by confirming that they are developing Ashes Cricket 2009. The title will be based on this year's Ashes tournament and when talking about the title, brand manager Richard Gittins went on to state that the game could be a big deal having witnessed the public's adoration for the Ashes back in 2005. Codies are therefore expecting strong sales.

Details are scarce at the moment yet we do know that Ashes Cricket 2009 will feature the current *cough* superstars of the cricket world (that would be names such as Strauss, Flintoff, Pietersen and Pointing) as well as the official matches and arenas. Codemasters have also established that there will be a Legends mode that tasks players with completing certain technical scenarios. Hopefully we will see some motion+ support too for those who feel like windmilling when bowling in their living rooms!

Ashes Cricket 2009 will release later this year on Wii.
