Remember the 3DS Assassin's Creed title? Don't worry if you don't, it's been scrapped.

Ubisoft announced a 3DS incarnation of the popular Assassin's Creed series at E3 last year. Assassin's Creed: Lost Legacy has not been heard from for a while and it seems that this is because the game has been scrapped.

Speaking to Joystiq Darby McDevitt, lead writer for the upcoming PS3 and 360 Assassin's Creed: Revelations, stated that the storyline for Lost Legacy was absorbed into Revelations: "You may have heard of the game 'Lost Legacy' for the 3DS. It was announced, but that kind of morphed into this idea".

Whether another Assassin's Creed will be released on the 3DS is unclear but it is safe to say Lost Legacy has definitely been lost.
