They call this blasphemy, they call this madness. "Madness?" I say. "THIS....IS...JENGA!!!"
Atari today announced the arrival of popular sill game Jenga on both Wii and DS.
The Jenga video game will give us unpredictable, quick-paced, tactical play that contains both suspense and risk-taking. It promises to stay faithful to the real game, and at the same time providing us with things that would be impossible with the real game.
Jenga contains single and multiplayer modes, with options for using power-ups and other "impossible" enhancements and twists on the game. Both the Wii and DS game will make use of the Wii Remote/Nunchuck and the Touch Screen respectively, and there will be different Jenga levels with different themes. Paul Eveloff of Pokonobe Associates (Owners of the Jenga trademark) had this to say on the game:
"We are very pleased that Atari is now bringing Jenga's universal entertainment appeal to video gamers worldwide. This new platform will extend the opportunity to play Jenga to video gamers and generate exceptional new play experiences. Atari's Jenga for the Nintendo DS and Wii takes the Edge-of-Your-Seat Fun and party game style brilliantly to video game players of all skill levels!"
