Today, Atlus announced Ontamarama, a new rhythm game for the DS.

Ontamarama is set on a peaceful island where gentle sound spirits, called Ontama, roam free. Ontama offer the people of the land a beautiful and enchanting symphony when they are conducted properly. When an evil demon starts to control natives to capture the Ontama, trouble brews. Luckily, two aspiring "Ontamaestros", named Beat and Rest, discover the plot and set out to foil the demon's plan.

The game is set to make use of the touch screen and dual screens of the DS, and will offer difficulty modes for both novice gamers and advanced gamers. Ontamarama features 12 stages to play, each with a catchy melody to master, and completing missions gets you Ontama Points. Ontama Points can be used to purchase new songs, items, and Ontama styles. Ontamarama also has a freeplay mode
