WarioWare: Snapped!

News: Aussie DSiWare Launch Titles Go Live

The Australian DSiWare service has gone live, with Wario spearheading the portable downloadable onslaught.

Nintendo of Europe remains tight-lipped on the subject of DSiWare, but the guys over at Vooks have managed to get their Australian DSi online and hooked up to the DSiWare store.

A DSi firmware update (version 1.3A) was made available at midnight down under, granting access to the Nintendo DSi Shop. Vooks have confirmed that 1,000 Nintendo Points were available straight away, as promised by Nintendo. There's also an option to hook up your DSi Store account to your Club Nintendo account, as with the Wii Shop Channel.

The first batch of DSiWare titles are also available right now - given the fact that Australia's and Europe's WiiWare and Virtual Console releases are generally the same on a weekly basis, it would be safe to assume that the following list of titles will also be available in Europe this Friday, when the console launches.

FREE

  • Nintendo DS Browser

200 Nintendo Points

  • Paper Plane
  • Pyoro

500 Nintendo Points

  • Art Style: AQUITE
  • Art Style: CODE
  • WarioWare Snapped!

There is also a Premium category for titles which cost 800 Nintendo Points or more, but there are no games in this category as of yet.

Head over to Vooks for a few pictures of the service up and running in English, and let us know which of these titles takes your fancy in the comments below.
