News: Australian Pre-Orders Skyrocket!

Many stores across Australia are reporting masses of pre-orders for the upcoming launch of the GameCube on May 17. GameCube pre-orders are double that of the Xbox, which got a lot of publicity in Australia. Things are looking good for the launch here in about a months time, but not so good for the Xbox. Sales are still low for the Xbox, with most people hanging out for the GC and the PS2 price drop which is expected with the release of the Gamecube.
Complaints have been heard by Microsoft about the uncomfortable Xbox controller, a new, more ergonomic controller has been made, but it still looks pretty much the same as the old one.
Games expected to be launched with the GC in Oz include:
Luigi's Mansion (with added PAL Extras), Wave Race: Blue Storm, Star Wars: Rogue Leader, Ledgends of Wrestling, FIFA 2002 World Cup, 18 Wheeler, Extreme G3, Jeremy McGrath SuperCross World, Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX, Universal Studio, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3, Bloody Roar: Primal Fury, Cel-Damage, Dark Summit, Simpson's Road Rage, Batman - Dark Tommorow, Driven, and Crazy Taxi.
