Stand back: your Wii and DS are about to be taken over by Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen!

Activision is overseeing the return of the Transformers, to tie in to the upcoming movie sequel, subtitled Revenge of the Fallen. The game will feature all the Autobot vs. Decepticon action from the film, as well as online multiplayer action for the first time in the series.

Set around the world from Cairo to Shanghai, the game allows players to instantly switch between vehicle and robot modes as they drive, fly, fight and blast their way to victory. PS3 and 360 will be developed by Luxoflux, a PC version is on the way from Beenox Studios, while the Wii and PS2 versions will be coming from Krome Studios.

The action will also be shrunk down to handheld size for the DS and PSP, with renowned developers Vicarious Visions taking on the dual-screened version and Savage Entertainment taking the reigns for the PSP.
