News: Autodesk Licensed for Wii U

Autodesk has made a license agreement with Nintendo to allow developers to use their Gameware technology.
On the second day of the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco computer software developer Autodesk has announced that a license agreement has been made with Nintendo to allow developers to use their Gameware technology on the Wii U.
The agreement will allow licensed developers to use Autodesk's numerous technologies including Autodesk Scaleform, the Autodesk Kynapse AI middleware, and Autodesk HumanIK. The agreement will allow developers to focus on taking advantage of the numerous possibilities the console offers.
Speaking about the agreement senior VP of media and entertainment Mark Petit said the following:
"Adopting Autodesk Gameware helps streamline the production process, freeing more resources for innovation in new areas. This shift in development focus will help make the next generation of titles more compelling than the last."
