Marvel Avengers: Battle For Earth is almost a Wii U exclusive...

Ubisoft has rather unexpectedly confirmed a brand new game for Wii U. Perhaps capitalising on the success of the Hollywood movie, the publisher has pre-empted E3 and announced Marvel Avengers: Battle For Earth.

Developed by Ubisoft Quebec (Assassin's Creed: Revelations), Marvel Avengers: Battle For Earth is being developed for the surprising platform combination of Wii U and Kinect for Xbox 360.

Fairly little is known about the game so far, but Ubisoft's press release seems to emphasise motion control-based combat, centring around Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America and Thor. We're eager to see just how this is realised on Wii U.

The game is to get a full reveal at next month's E3 convention. For now, there's a fairly bare-bones teaser site.
