News: Bad Boys II GameCube Delayed

The GameCube version of Bad Boys II has been delayed, not cancelled...

Yesterday, Empire Interactive announced it is releasing its game based on the Bad Boys II motion picture this week for the Xbox and PS2. Suprisingly, the company did not mention the GameCube version. Reason enough for us to give the nice folks at Empire Interactive a ring...

This morning, Paul Benjamin, the marketing manager of Empire Interactive, told us the GameCube version of Bad Boys II has not been cancelled. However, there have been some technical difficulties with the development for Ninty's console and this forced Empire Interactive to delay the game for a few months, probably two.

So there is good news and bad news. The goos news is that we will see Bad Boys II for the GameCube. And the bad news is that it will take a few months still for it to be released.

Bad Boys II will be a full on all action first/third person shooter with you playing both characters depending on where you are in the plot. Mike is the hard man who you will control whenever something is going down that needs a gun to do the talking. Marcus will jump into play when things need to be a bit subtler and stealth is required to move the investigation forward.

We will bring you more on this title as it breaks!
