News: BAFTA 2012 Shortlist Revealed

A largely Nintendo-omitted list is unveiled by BAFTA...
BAFTA has revealed the full shortlist for the prestigious video game awards set to be presented in March, and once again, it's a list largely unrepresentative of Nintendo's greats of the year.
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword picks up a respectable three nods for Best Game, Innovation, and the publicly-voted GAME Award of 2011. The critically-acclaimed 3DS smash Super Mario 3D Land is recognised for Design, and is also the only retail game to be nominated in the Mobile & Handheld category. Mario Kart 7 picks up just one nomination for Family title.
No recognition can be found for the critical and gamer darling Xenoblade Chronicles, while other big-name first party titles like Kirby's Epic Yarn and Pokémon also look to be forgotten.
