Bandai have announced they will be bringing the Tamagochi virtual pet concept to a dual-screened console near you. At the moment, only a release date of September for Japan has been announced, but if the game is as popular as Nintendo's take on the genre, Nintendogs, the rest of the world will be sure to see this title soon afterwards.

How Bandai will translate the Tamagochi concept from the egg-shaped mini-consoles which we all had clipped to our belts a few years back to the dual screens of the DS is yet unknown. More news on this title as we get it.
