News: Baroque Dated For The US

Another date to add to the ever growing release list along with how the story will be presented...

Baroque, the recently announced RPG making it's way to the Wii has now been given a release date for America. The game is a dark RPG by Atlus which was originally being developed for the PS2 but has then since been ported to the Wii with several additional features such as 16:9 Widescreen support and progressive scan along with the unique controls. Baroque has been scheduled to be released on the 18th of March.

The story of the game begins with your character waking up to find their world in ruin. Feeling guilty about events, you travel to a mysterious tower, seeking absolution. The story is slowly fed to the player so they doesn't quite understand what's going on, but rather that they slowly unravel the mysteries of Baroque as the title progresses, keeping the player engaged in the game with things intentionally left vague to keep people guessing.

Along with this, Atlus USA said the following: "We've got some surprises tucked away for next year, and while I will deftly avoid mentioning specific genres or platforms, I will offer that Atlus fans will have plenty of reason to celebrate in 2008"

With Atlus USA calling this a hardcore RPG, this is definitely one to keep an eye on. N-Europe will unravel more about Baroque as we get it...
