Baten Kaitos DS is dead, all hail Tales DS instead? We've got the full story inside...

Namco has updated the DS section of its Japanese site and has now removed the previously listed Baten Kaitos DS.

However, the updated list does include the mysterious new Tales DS confirmed last week as part of the deluge of new titles announced.

It's unlikely Baten Kaitos' developers have simply switched to a Tales project, so our best guess is that Namco is just focusing on one DS RPG at a time for now, with Tales getting a release first and Baten Kaitos DS hopefully reappearing at some point in the future. After all, the touch screen is perfect for Baten Kaitos' card-choosing battles.
