Nintendo is to offer a specific BBC iPlayer channel for Wii owners in the UK later this month...

The BBC has announced that from November 18th, Wii owners residing in the UK will be able to download a dedicated channel for its television catch-up service iPlayer.

The iPlayer was previously available to Wii owners via the Internet Channel, but its service has been compromised with recent firmware updates. The specific channel will downloadable for free from the Shop Channel later next week.

Update 18/11/09: The Channel is now available to download from the Wii Shop Channel for free to all users with their Wii console's region set to the United Kingdom! How is it working for you? Let us know!
