Popular college game coming to the WiiWare service in June.

JV Games has just announced its first WiiWare game, and that it's the first in a series of Frat Party Games titles. Beer Pong is based on the '80s college drinking game of the same name and will feature two game types, Tournament and Speed Pong. The former sees you take part in a traditional game of the 'sport', while the latter pits you against two or three other players in a challenge of emptying your glasses first. On top of this, so far we know there will be three different environments and multiple tabletops to 'enhance the playing environment'.

"Beer pong is quickly becoming a worldwide sensation, from high-stakes competitions being held here in Las Vegas to more and more establishments creating beer pong environments to attract new customers" said Jag Jaeger, VP Games' Vice President. He added "Being beer pong players ourselves, we realised this is a game niche yet to be filled, and the Wii is the perfect system to replicate the game. We created a very accurate and realistic throw system. No buttons to time your throw with; just hold the Wii Remote like you would a normal ball and throw".
