Creators of the Elder Scrolls saga announce that they will be revealing a "really big" Wii title later this year...

Bethesda Softworks are perhaps best known amongst gamers for their recent blockbuster hits Fallout 3 and Oblivion on other next-generation consoles. The developer/publisher has so far stayed away from AAA Wii development, but that could change soon.

Speaking to gamesindustry.biz, European managing director Sean Brennan discussed the state of 'mature' titles on Wii. Amongst the debate came this nugget of info:

"We are going to make an announcement on a really big Wii game this year, we've got a couple of other things in the pipeline, and it's a format we're really looking at with the right approach. We're not going to establish a new range and call it 'My Girly Game Range' or whatever these other companies are doing, it's so me-too and boring."

There's no confirmation of whether the Wii game is merely published by Bethesda or is also internally-developed, but perhaps an announcement will be made at E3 next month.
