A round-up of the other game confirmations at the conference...
The 3DS conference may have been dominated by Monster Hunter, but that didn't stop the slew of other third party 3DS games; some new, some merely re-confirmed.
Firstly, Tecmo Koei will be bringing Dynasty Warriors Vs to the system, with four-player competitive multiplayer. Due out in Japan 2012.
SD Gundam G Genration 3D is the Gundam Age title that was first announced back in June. It is being developed by Level-5 and is due in Japan at the end of the year. Level-5 is also creating an original title called Girl's RPG, which is cool.
Re-confirmed for 3DS is Slime Mori Mori Dragon Quest 3 - more familiar to western gamers as Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime 3 - for November.
Namco Bandai has Tekken 3D: Prime Edition and Ace Combat 3D: Cross Rumble, while Konami has Metal Gear Solid 3, all pencilled in for 'winter'.
Finally, a long-rumoured Hatsune Miku game from Sega is real. It is a rhythm game based around the smash-hit, fictional pop-star, in which you can create your own AR concerts. It's due out in Japan in March.
